The Cavendish Arms - Cartmel

The Cavendish Arms is a 450 year old coaching innin the picturesque village of Cartmel. Located on the outskirts of the English Lake District, Morecambe Bay is just 11 minutes’ drive away.

Boasting free W-Fi, there is also a restaurant that serves either a continental breakfast or a cooked breakfast in the mornings. It is served within the cosy dining room that is complete with a burning log fire. There is also a dinner menu available.

The quaint, low beamed rooms at The Cavendish Arms each feature an en suite bathroom with complimentary toiletries, a flat-screen TV, tea and coffee making facilities and a hairdryer.

In the evening, guests can relax and unwind with a drink at the bar after exploring one of the many surrounding walking routes Cartmel has to offer.

From the inn, Cartmel Racecourse is a 2-minute walk away. Lake Windermere is also a 15-minute car journey away.

The hotel day starts from hour 15:00 and ends at 10:30.

Superior Double Room. We now have 2 spacious superior rooms both with large beds and en suite bathrooms with bath and hand showers for the ladies. These rooms are ideal for a special one night stay or if you prefer to stay for a few nights as they have the benefit of a large floor space for you to relax in. Dressing gowns and fresh towels are supplied and the option of daily room service is available if requested. Complimentary toiletries from our friends at the local Bath House store are supplied, Fresh tea and coffee & hot chocolate provided in rooms along with Marlish mineral water. ;
Executive Double Room. This double room has air conditioning, DVD player and private entrance. This Executive Double Room includes a large bath en suite. It features a super king-size bed, dressing gowns, complimentary Bath House toiletries, a flat-screen TV with built-in DVD player and radio, Air conditioning and heating, a hairdryer, and tea and coffee making facilities are included. Please note that these rooms are located in a separate building. ;
